  2. We miss you so much Dad! It's still so hard to believe that you're gone. This week would've been such a proud week for you, Aaron returning home from basic training and Brian getting married. Whenever it makes me sad, I just picture you looking down on us with your beaming and proud smile as tears of joy begin to well up in your eyes. Love you, and wish you were here!

  3. Dear Dad,

I agree with Staci; I just can't believe that you are gone. It has been nearly 3 months and I still have the urge to pick up the phone and call you.

I am making my first trip back to Vegas since I came to California for a couple of days back in February. I fondly remember you helping Keith and me with our floor. There was that silly corner behind the TV that you had to get just perfect. I think you spent 3 hours on that silly corner. I remember thinking that I just wanted you to finish so that we could watch Desperate Housewives. When I sell the house (if ever) that piece of flooring goes with us. I have a spare plank in the garage to take its place.

We took the boat out a couple of weeks ago. It went fast, but still leaks. As I was loading tools into the boat before leaving I was just hoping that you were guiding me to take the right parts and tools. Guess what, we lost a hose clamp and there was one in the tool box. I was able to fix it and continue on our test run.

The sun was shining just perfect that day and the wind was blowing just enough to get us back to the dock if we needed it, but we didn't. I know that you were smiling a huge smile that day.

It is amazing how often I feel that you are with me. I saw a rainbow the other morning and just knew that it was you, making sure I know that you are there. I see you in the moon most often. Every time a moon is visible in the middle of the afternoon, or one so bright that it hurts my eyes, or one that is so large and low in the sky one minute, and the next hanging high in the night sky; I know that you are there. I can't see a tool, guitar, truck, trailer, motorcycle, boat, just to name a few things without thinking that you are there.

I guess that although not here, you will always be with me; in my heart, in my soul, in my thoughts, and in my dreams. I love you so much and hope you know that I am with you.

    Love, Glen
